Carlos Villanueva: Assistant Coach

I Carlos Villanueva, am originally from NY & dedicated 22 years to serving the Bronx community as a Police Officer of the NYPD. Throughout my career, I worked in various units, including Patrol, Undercover Anti-Crime, Narcotics, Anti-Terrorism, the Strategic Response Team, Grand Larceny Auto Crime, Community Policing, and as a School Resource Officer.  After retiring from the NYPD and moving to North Carolina, I continued my commitment to public service by joining the Town of Holly Springs as a 911 Police Dispatcher, a role I held for five years. I later transitioned to the Office of Customer Care as a Customer Service Specialist and was recently promoted to Supervisor within that department.

In High School I played both baseball & football for JV and Varsity. I’m a diehard NY Yankees fan, a Dallas Cowboys supporter, a NY Knicks basketball fan, and a NY Rangers hockey fan—but I also root for the Carolina Hurricanes. As a resident of Holly Springs, I’ve coached Softball in Parks & Rec for 5 years prior to joining the Wake County Crows Organization.  Throughout my sports journey, I've gained extensive knowledge, experience, and training. I love sharing that expertise as I continue coaching Travel Softball and participating in the development & growth of our athletes.
